Role, Purpose and Scope
Accounting System Support. Interfaces frequently with functional area as well as with information management in North America. May interface with 3rd party software support vendors as required. This person will endeavor to be a business and operational advisor while delivering on their assigned objectives. During the term of the assignment, this person will demonstrate initiative, complete assigned actions timely, accept and lead organizational changes with a positive and productive attitude and anticipate problems, taking action to mitigate key factors or contributors, develop solutions and assumes responsibility for their decisions.
This person utilizes their accumulated knowledge and experience in US generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP), while continually demonstrating and advising based on their higher level of knowledge and skills. In this role, the person will utilize their accumulated knowledge of US GAAP, software skills, organization and the processes (internally and externally) to be a change agent for Xerox and the business.
Major Responsibilities
Business support for General Ledger and financial reporting systems, interacting with the Enterprise Consolidation System, Enterprise Submission System, and Enterprise Financial Information Warehouse
Facilitate communication between finance and accounting system users and IT business analysts.
Provide system training to Finance & Accounting user community and assist in the cultivation of system understanding throughout the entire organization.
Support finance and accounting system implementations, improvements / upgrades, and maintenance projects.
Prepare detailed documentation and test scripts for department procedures.
Prepare and audit system processing in a multi-currency ERP environment.
Uses best practices and knowledge of business issues to improve services.
Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective to identify solutions.
Provide support for the monthly close, including sub-ledger coordination and scheduling for multiple regions and systems.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
All other duties as assigned
Require Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Business or IT)
Require 2 to 5 years Oracle GL experience
Adequate business experience with US GAAP in a US multinational
CPA, CMA, MBA or similar master's degree is preferred.
Excellent English - Written and Verbal
Teamwork: leader or as a key contributor

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
