Kennel Manager

You will supervise a staff of 4-8 kennel staff w/responsibilities to include:
-Exercising (walks, trail walks, and group/individual pasture play)
- Assist in cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of kennel areas, and some clinic areas
- Preparing and distributing diets as instructed by owners
- Medication preparation and administration
- Assisting doctors and technicians as needed
- Proper animal restraint
- Client Service
- Supervise play groups of pets
-learn and perform exercises for dogs with special needs

Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform end-of-shift walk-throughs to ensure all standards of care have been met and that all job tasks have been completed.
- Handling and restraint of aggressive animals
- Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and boarding facility equipment
- Create the work schedules for kennel attendants, including finding coverage or working a shift yourself when someone is absent
- Develop and implement a staff training program for new hires and conduct 30- and 90-day reviews
- Help create an environment of teamwork and respect

- minimum of 3 years animal handling experience
- must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- detail-oriented, outgoing, reliable and honest
- client service experience
- able to meet the demands of a physically and mentally challenging job
- weekend, evening and holiday availability
- must exhibit leadership qualities -- able to motivate and direct peers, high level of maturity and initiative
- must be able to communicate and coordinate effectively with other departments

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
